About Co-Op Now

We just wanted to play together.

Co-Op Now helps gamers discover what to play, find the right people to play with, and turn the intent to play into sessions that actually happen.

How it started

Co-Op Now started with three passionate multiplayer gamers doing what gamers always do — talking about games. And complaining about everything that gets in the way of actually playing them.

Friends are busy. Nobody can agree on what to play. Not everyone owns the same game. Someone's on a different platform. The old squad drifts apart. And finding new players who match your style, your schedule, your goals and your personality? Surprisingly hard.

Here's the thing: playing together is incredible. Getting to the playing part is surprisingly difficult.

So we built Co-Op Now to bring together everything that happens before a great multiplayer session — discover something worth playing, find people you want to play with, bring friends back together, build a squad, figure out when everyone's free, and then play.

We want to build more than another LFG tool. We want to build the place where multiplayer gaming begins. We're starting with co-op because it's the community we know and love.

Our mission

Make multiplayer gaming easier to enjoy.

Help gamers discover what to play, find the right people to play with, and turn the intent to play into gaming sessions that happen.

What Co-Op Now is

Co-Op Now is a free, independent web platform for people who play co-op games together — duos, full squads, and solo players looking for co-op partners. It brings game discovery, library comparison, group voting, player matching and session planning into one place, so your group can stop scrolling and start playing.

The platform focuses on co-op and multiplayer games across PC and console. Store metadata and pricing come from publicly available sources including the Steam Store API and IsThereAnyDeal, which we treat as source signals. Co-op facts — how many people fit in one co-op group, whether a game has online, local, split-screen or LAN play, and its crossplay status — live in our own reviewed records, with community reports as one evidence path. Anything unconfirmed stays unverified rather than guessed.

Co-Op Now is an independent project. It is not affiliated with Valve, Steam, game publishers, or game retailers.

What we stand for

Gaming is our community, not our market.

Respect your time

Help you get from wanting to play to actually playing — without the endless scrolling and debate.

Respect your money

Co-Op Now is free for gamers. No pay-to-play, no pay-to-win, no intentionally degraded experience. Optional supporter tiers exist for people who want to help keep it running — nothing core is locked behind them.

Respect your privacy

We don't sell personal data. You control what gaming information you share with other players.

Respect game creators

We want great games — especially from indie developers — to find passionate players and communities. That's our intent, not a claim of formal developer partnerships.

The specifics

  • No passwords collected — Steam linking works by pasting your public Steam ID or profile URL. Co-Op Now never asks for or stores your Steam password.
  • Public data only — when you link your Steam ID, the platform reads only your publicly visible game library: the same list anyone can see on your Steam profile if it's set to public.
  • Account deletion — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from your settings page at any time.
  • No data selling — user data is not sold to third parties or used for advertising.
