Terms of Service

Version 1.1 · Effective August 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Co-Op Now ("we", "us", "the Service"). By creating an account, accepting these Terms in the product, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

Accounts and all community and interactive features are for people aged 18 or older. You must also be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. Public game pages, lists, guides and other public editorial content may be viewed without an account.

You are responsible for the security of your account and for activity that occurs under it.

3. The Service and changes to it

Co-Op Now helps people discover co-op games, understand how their co-op modes actually work, decide what a group should play, and coordinate sessions with other players. It combines our own data work with information from third-party sources and community contributions.

The Service evolves. We may add, change, limit or discontinue features, data sources, integrations or parts of the Service for reasons including security, legal or regulatory requirements, technical or compatibility constraints, changes or failures in third-party APIs and platforms, abuse prevention, operational and capacity needs, and ordinary product development. Where mandatory law requires notice, or where a change is material and notice is appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice.

4. Acceptable use

Our Community Guidelines are incorporated into these Terms by reference. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, abuse, threaten or endanger other people
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your age or identity
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures or access other users' accounts or data
  • Use automated scraping, bots or bulk extraction against the Service
  • Upload malicious code, spam, or deliberately false or manipulated data
  • Interfere with the availability, integrity or performance of the Service

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit — lists, notes, messages, submissions, community metadata and similar ("User Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, cache, reproduce, format, adapt for display, display, technically distribute, moderate, secure and otherwise use your User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, protect and improve the Service, including making it visible to the people or audiences you choose.

This licence extends to our operational providers (for example hosting, storage, delivery, email and moderation tooling) only to the extent they need it to provide those services to us. It does not give us the right to use your User Content for unrelated purposes.

You are responsible for having the rights necessary to submit your User Content. Game titles, artwork, trademarks and store media remain the property of their respective rights holders.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We may use automated tooling and/or human review to detect and act on content or behaviour that violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, applicable law, or that creates a safety or security risk. We may remove or restrict content, limit features, or restrict, suspend or terminate accounts.

We do not monitor all content and we do not undertake to review everything that is submitted. Where reasonably possible, and where legally required, we will provide a reason and appropriate notice. In serious cases — including risk of harm, illegal content, security incidents or legal obligations — we may act without advance notice.

7. Interactions with other players

The Service helps you discover and coordinate with other players. We do not verify and cannot guarantee the identity, age, conduct, reliability, skill, intentions or general suitability of other users. You are responsible for your own interactions and for the information you choose to share, particularly when moving to another platform, a voice service, a game lobby or an offline meeting. Use your judgement and report behaviour that breaks our Community Guidelines.

8. Third-party services and data

Co-Op Now is an independent service. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by or affiliated with any platform holder, storefront or publisher unless expressly stated. Integrations and data related to Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Google, Discord, storefronts, price sources and other APIs may change, degrade, be rate-limited or disappear, and their own terms and policies apply to your use of them.

Pricing and deal information, crossplay details, subscription-catalogue availability, PC compatibility estimates, co-op capability metadata and community-sourced information may be incomplete, delayed, regional, or inaccurate. Where a decision matters — especially a purchase — verify it directly with the relevant store or platform. Some outbound store links may be affiliate links that earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

9. AI-assisted features

Some features use AI-assisted processing to summarise, classify or recommend. These outputs are informational and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. They are not a guarantee of a game's content, capabilities, availability, price or suitability for your group.

10. Free service and possible paid features

The Service is currently provided without charge. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, the price, what is included and any additional or paid-services terms will be shown to you before any purchase, and you will not be charged without your agreement.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure from all risk, permanently available, or that any particular data, integration or feature will remain accurate or continue to exist.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or data. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are also not responsible for third-party services and platforms, the conduct of other users, User Content, outages or events outside our reasonable control, or inaccurate external or community-sourced data.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your non-waivable rights as a consumer.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access — proportionately to the circumstances — where you breach these Terms or the Community Guidelines, where there is risk of harm to users, to us or to third parties, or where required for safety, security or legal reasons. Where reasonably possible we will tell you why and, where appropriate, give you an opportunity to resolve the issue.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Ordinary updates — clarifications, editorial changes, or changes reflecting new features — do not automatically require you to accept them again. For material or significant changes we will provide reasonable advance notice where appropriate or legally required. Where legally permitted, continued use of the Service after the stated effective date constitutes acceptance. We will ask for explicit re-acceptance only where we consider it appropriate or where it is legally required.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by Swedish law. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any non-waivable mandatory provisions, including consumer protection rules, that apply in your country of residence.

Disputes will be handled by the Swedish courts, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings, or requires proceedings to be brought, elsewhere.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the unenforceable part applies to the maximum extent permitted. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganisation, acquisition or transfer of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law, and to a successor that assumes our obligations under them.

16. Contact

Co-Op Now is operated from Sweden. For questions about these Terms, contact [email protected].
