Three is the group size co-op design keeps forgetting. This page only lists games where three people can actually be in the same co-op party together, based on verified party-size data in our catalog. Server slots, lobby size and match capacity never qualify a game here — an eight-player server can still host a two-player campaign.
Games that “support four” appear only when the verified party range proves three fit too (for example two to four). Where the party size is unknown or uncertain, the game is left off rather than guessed onto the list.

Compare owned games, squad size and platforms for the people you play with.
Party size comes from canonical same-group data in our catalog — how many people can play in one co-op group together. We keep that strictly separate from lobby size, server capacity, same-team capacity and same-session player counts. Only games whose same-group range is marked confirmed and actually contains three players appear here; unknown and uncertain entries are excluded rather than guessed, and implausible capacities (a sign of leaked server data) are ignored.
Mod-only or unofficial player-count increases never qualify a game. Read our full methodology.
It means three people can be in the same co-op party together. Every game listed has verified party-size data whose range actually contains three — not three people on one server, in one lobby, or on opposing teams.
A game that supports four is only listed when its verified party range proves three also fit — for example a party of two to four. If the data only shows that a game supports four or more players, and never fewer, it is left off.
This page is a browse list of games where three genuinely fit, ranked by rating and review volume rather than editorial opinion. If you want a shortlist with recommendations, read our guide to the best co-op games for 3 players.

Most co-op design targets two or four players, so trio groups constantly hit games that pair off or leave one person out. Filtering on verified party ranges instead of marketing copy is the fastest way to avoid that.
